During Marty Lembo’s battle with cancer, his oncologist recommended exercise as a key part of his treatment. After Marty’s passing in 2018, his wife, Cyndi Lembo, continued to embrace this advice.
Cyndi founded Team Marty, a group dedicated to raising money for cancer research through various initiatives. The team has actively participated in the University of Rochester’s Wilmot Cancer Walk, and in 2023, they successfully raised over $17,000 for the Wilmot Cancer Institute.
“Hopefully we can eradicate this disease so no one has to lose a loved one to it,” Lembo said.
The event, which offers a three-game guarantee and beginner, intermediate and advanced-level play, costs $65 to register. Meals will be provided by Salvatore’s Pizzeria, Mark’s Pizzeria and Dinosaur BBQ. There will also be prizes and raffle baskets.
