DDSC Hosting Pickleball

Pickleball is a sport on the rise day by day in the last three years. Most people love to view the matches streaming in the Delmarva Peninsula, young as well as old.

By seeing this much interest, the Delaware Deaf Senior Citizens (DDSC) organization will be organizing a Pickleball at the Beach Tournament in Ocean Pines, MD., on September 14 and 15, at the Ocean Pines Racquet Center. Sponsors and players are now being inspired by the event, which will benefit the DDSC.

Delaware Deaf Senior Citizens was founded in 2015 to support the growing deaf population in the southern area of Delaware. The association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, so all financial donations are tax-deductible. The group advocates for its members about healthcare, aging, fitness, and communication accessibility.

“With Baby Boomers transitioning into retirement, we must expand our programs and services to sustain our financial stability,” representatives said.

All told the event will provide a chance for individuals to connect with deaf people in communities around Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. Clinics will also be held for those who want to learn pickleball.

Approximately 100 players have signed up for the Pickleball at the Beach Tournament. the organization (DDSC) will publicly recognize and thank all sponsors on their official website, across their social media channels, and in any visual promotional materials related to the event.
