Auction Set to Offset Debts of Pickleball Swindler

Brookville, IN – An online auction was set last Monday to pay the debt of pickleball players. A man is accused of fraudulently taking millions of dollars from pickleball players.

This auction was run by Christy’s of Indiana, which has pickleball equipment spread out over a 7k square foot warehouse. Among the available items are 3,200 paddles.

In February, a group of investors in the defunct Pickleball Rocks business venture convinced a federal judge in Indianapolis to force Rodney Grubbs into bankruptcy.

The demand required Grubbs to create a list of his investors and how much he owed them.

Grubbs’ total debt is estimated at around $47 million.
