Manatee County’s latest indoor pickleball venue is opening this Friday, just 10 months after its announcement.
Dill Dinkers, an indoor pickleball franchise that began in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, is launching its first Florida location near Sarasota Bradenton International Airport.
Located at 500 Tallevast Road, Suite 110, Sarasota, the 27,000-square-foot Dill Dinkers SRQ facility features 11 full-sized courts and one half-sized court designed for dinking and drills.
Recognized as America’s fastest-growing sport by USA Pickleball, pickleball enthusiasts can enjoy the game at this state-of-the-art facility, along with numerous public parks offering courts in the area.
Heather and Tim Dull unveiled their franchise plans for the region in March 2024, aiming to establish the first Dill Dinkers location by late 2024 or early 2025.
After facing setbacks from Hurricanes Helene and Milton, as well as delays caused by the previous tenants taking extra time to vacate, the area’s newest indoor pickleball facility is now ready to open.
“It was arduous, but it was a labor of love,” Heather Dull said.
Dill Dinkers SRQ is celebrating its soft opening with free play available from Friday through Tuesday, Jan. 14.
Players can secure a spot by downloading the Court Reserve app or visiting www.CourtReserve.com. Simply create an account, select Dill Dinkers SRQ as the club, and book your preferred playtime.
Starting Wednesday, Dill Dinkers SRQ will implement a $450 annual membership fee. Members can book courts at $32 per hour, which equates to $8 per player for doubles and $16 for singles.
Non-members can access courts for $64 per hour. The facility operates daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
